Clean Commute Virginia
Commute Smart Virginia is devoted to giving the air and your lungs a brake by asking Virginians to clean commute to work. All Virginians are encouraged to walk, bike, take a bus, ride the Metro, ride the train, carpool or vanpool to get to work whenever possible.

AIRNow
The U.S. EPA, NOAA, NPS, tribal, state, and local agencies developed the AIRNow Web site to provide the public with easy access to national air quality information. The Web site offers daily AQI forecasts as well as real-time AQI conditions for over 300 cities across the US, and provides links to more detailed State and local air quality Web sites.

   The Shenandoah Valley Air Quality Project
The SHENandoah Valley AIR Quality Initiative (SHENAIR) is a local government and James Madison Universityuniversity alliance which provides a science-based, regional response to air quality issues affecting the Valley of Virginia.

US EPA Office of Air and Radiation
The Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) develops national programs, technical policies, and regulations for controlling air pollution and radiation exposure. OAR is concerned with pollution prevention and energy efficiency, indoor and outdoor air quality, industrial air pollution, pollution from vehicles and engines, radon, acid rain, stratospheric ozone depletion, climate change, and radiation protection.

Valley AIRNow
Valley AIRNow is a unique public education and outreach program developed by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Air Quality Improvement Task Force (AQITF, or Task Force) to help reduce air pollution. Valley AIRNow seeks to inform the public about the link between their lifestyle choices and air pollution by emphasizing simple measures they can take to improve the overall air quality of the Northern Shenandoah Valley area.
